Finished Video!

The long anticipated wait is OVERRRRR, Here it is!

This is  my finished edited and cut animation i have been talking about in the last few blog posts, I finished my animation earlier than everyone else because i had a solid idea right from the beginning. i begin working on my research for my animation right away. i knew i wanted to do jaws because i love the film and i thought of a good twist idea that is similar to the movie but not quite the same. Once i had drew my storyboards i found the cut-out pictures i wanted to use for my cutout animation obviously, i saved them & resized them using photoshop. i then printed my images out then cut them out so i had all individual pictures. Once i had printed and cut all my images out i went online to find sound clips & the movie theme tune then i was ready to film i kept track of where i was up to by updating my blog every week just to show where i was, i made sure i print screened everything i was doing. When i was ready to film i borrowed a webcam from the college and filmed everything. once i had filmed i uploaded a soundless-unedited version of my video to my blog, i then added my video to iMovie and added titles & credits i then re-saved my video and then added the new version to garageband. i added sound clips i downloaded from the internet + the jaws theme tune over the entire video. once i had done this i was finished i added the finished version to my blog (above) but continued to update my blog!

  1. 10/10 Not bad Michael, I like i love the fact the shark and the boat disspears into the water, I believe that was used using 2 sheets of pape 1 background 1 to use the water. I can't see that many faults with it from my prespective, But i am sure kevin wants me to poke holes in it so here i go. Besides a few shadow of your hands nothing is wrong

  2. Good cutout, i think it was creative.

It met all of the requirements needed, having titles, credits, soundtrack and animation.

the technical quality side of it was good until your thumb was shown at the side of the background.

I would add more to the storyline, but was good for the time you had. (30 seconds)

    Very good though

  3. I loved this video. I thought that it was a brilliant piece of stop motion! Very creative video, however the camera quality let it down a little bit. All requirements of the brief are met in this video. The only thing I would suggest would be to try and make the animation a little smoother and possibly faster. I would also love if the music was a little further into the song instead of right at the start. Other than that it was brilliant.

  4. Nice cutout, very creative. This meets all the requirements. I thought the technical quality was very good but the improvements I would suggest are you can see shadows from your hand throughout the video and near the end you can see your thumb.

  5. Michael This video is very Creative i love the way you use different cut outs to show the representation of the shark i also love the movement of the boat to make it look like that it was on the sea.
The Cutout Animation meets all the Requirements its shows good credits and the sound is very good too.
    the technical quality is good
there are no improvements to be made because your video is good.

  6. I enjoyed your animation Michael, it was creative and it met the requirements of the brief. I believe it was well put together, though lighting could have been better, also, I noticed some shadows appearing in some of the frames that should not be there.
Over all very good, well done.

  7. This is a good creative animation but you could have cut the parts out with your hand in. The animation meets the requirements of the brief it last 30 seconds and it is creative. The things you could improve on are the images and the lighting.

  8. Really creative piece of animation, I liked how you made the shark come out of the water and not just have it slide up the screen to get the boat, although i thought the sort of colour grading didnt fit the actual scenes as depending on what software you used which was most likely iMovie you could of possibly keyframed a different style of colour grading to act like a pumping suspense to the lead up of the kill of the boat. Good thought of thinking in this piece.

  9. This is a good video. i love it. its got good creativity throughout the whole video. it meets the requirements of the brief as it lasts 30 seconds long, as it should be. Also, it has a good technical quality all the way through the video. improvements are it could be edited together better. on that note 10/10 :)
